The taco is Mexican cuisine, but the versions Americans eat, particularly at fast food places, are very different from the authentic version. The cuisine often consists of one or two warm or lightly cooked corn tortillas, along with a variety of classic Mexican meats or fish. A little lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa, pico de gallo, and occasionally cheese can be added to tacos to dress them up.

The basic taco is served flat, not compressed into the hard shells that many Americans view as its fundamental foundation. Hard shells with semi-circular shapes were mostly created in America.

Carne Asada

One of the most popular varieties of Mexican tacos is carne asada. It has a big quantity of flavour and includes juicy, tender chicken that has been marinated in olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, and spices. Although it's best to also pound the meat with a meat tenderizer, the lime ensures that it is incredibly soft. After that, grill it for a few minutes on each side over high heat to get a good char. Add sliced onion, a creamy avocado, and a squeeze of lime to the tacos with carne asada. Then, for a wonderful finishing touch, top the platter with some cilantro and cotija cheese.

Birria

A stew from Jalisco, Mexico, known as birria, is frequently cooked with goat meat but can also comprise lamb or chicken. The delicate meat is put into corn tortillas soaked in stew oil to make tacos. Pan-fry them with cheese till crispy and tasty. But that's not all; a soupy broth is also provided for dipping. Though a bit messy to eat, it is quite delicious.

Tacos de Pescado

One of the fans' favourites is fish tacos. They originate in Baja, California, and are common on the west coast. When the exterior crust of flaky fish is deep-fried, it turns a lovely golden brown. It's worth dying for. For the ideal experience, drizzle over a creamy sauce and add some crunchy cabbage. Make fish tacos if you want a great taste of life on the west coast.

Chicken Tinga

These tacos are simply impossible to resist. Chicken tinga tacos are smokey, fresh, and so delicious thanks to the shredded chicken that has been seasoned with chipotle, the zippy lime, and the delicate corn tortillas. After trying them, you'll look for them whenever you can. But making your own food is always preferable, so always endeavour to do so.

Tacos de Papa

Along with mashed potatoes, are fried and crisp tortilla shells possible? Yep, you heard correctly. Unusual yet delicious tacos called tacos de papa are topped with shredded cabbage, tomato, onion, and a garlicky tomato sauce, not to mention oodles of cotija cheese. You don't even have to be a vegetarian to enjoy these; they're among the greatest vegetarian tacos available.

Shrimp Tacos

You must have shrimp tacos, another delicacy from the seaside. Nothing beats plump, meaty prawns wrapped in warm tortillas. Furthermore, you can't go wrong when you include salty cheese, crispy cabbage, and avocado. These vibrant and tasty tacos are excellent for gatherings and the summer. Instead, simply prepare them yourself and savour a ridiculously delicious supper.
