Indian food has a way of finding its way into the hearts and lives of people across the globe. From Indian restaurants cropping up in the top 50 restaurants of the world to Engladn adopting Chicken Tikka Masala as their national dish, there’s no escaping the magic that masala can weave. It seems like even Jungkook of international KPop sensation band BTS isn’t immune to the charms and a few days ago he delighted India’s BTS Army when he confessed that he was a huge fan of Chicken Makhani and Naan.

The singer and youngest member of BTS has been hosting regular live sessions with fans on Korean streaming platform WeVerse and on Sunday one of his fans posed the all-important question, ‘Have you ever tried Indian food?’. It turns out that not only has he tried Indian food, but he’s a big fan. In the clip he responds (in Korean) saying, “Did someone asked if I've ever tried Indian food. Suddenly I’m thinking about Chicken makhani. There’s a curry, and you know naan? You dip it in the curry and eat it. It’s a triangle shaped bread…like a burrito and you cut it and eat it with the curry. I really love that. It’s delicious. Ohh I'm hungry. I’m starving. Please don't talk about food. I beg you." the clip ends jokingly.

Chicken Makhani or Butter Chicken as it's commonly known, with its rich creamy tomato sauce and tender grilled chicken, is an irresistible delight that captivates even the most discerning palates. Its aromatic blend of spices and luscious texture make it a favourite among food lovers worldwide.

Though Indian audiences were thrilled with his response, this isn’t the first time BTS members have expressed their love for Indian culture and cuisine. In 2019, while travelling to New Zealand for their reality show Bon Voyage they were seen indulging in delicious Indian food like Naan and Paneer. And in 2022, Jimin actually made biryani trend on Twitter when he confessed to liking the iconic rice dish.

The classic Butter Chicken seems to have won yet another supporter and there’s no denying that every member of the Army in India is now craving a big plate of Chicken Makhani with naan too, thanks to Jungkook.
