1.  Poha Jalebi

The iconic breakfast combination that is popular in cities like Bhopal and Indore, Poha Jalebi is the go-to nashta for most local people. Poha, for the unversed, is a dish made with flattened rice and vegetables. Jalebi, on the other hand, is a deep-fried Indian sweet dipped in sugar syrup and served hot. The two contrasting flavours are put together and served hot on your breakfast plate.

2.   Khasta Kachori

A famous treat of Indore, Khasta Kachori is a delightful breakfast item that is savoured early in the morning. The crunchy bites are made with wheat flour and filled with a spicy lentil mixture. The crispy bites are deep-fried in ghee and found in every nook and corner. The kachoris are paired with a mint and tamarind chutney.

3.   Bhutte Ka Kees

The Bhutte Ka Kees is a delicious breakfast item from Madhya Pradesh that you cannot miss. Grated corn, paired with grated coconut, coriander leaves, besan and jeera are mixed together and served as a mushy mixture. Spices are added to make it even more flavourful.

4.   Palak Poori

The deep-fried Indian bread is a perfect morning starter. The dough is flavoured with spinach leaves, making it a healthy treat. The poori is fried in hot oil and served alongside aloo sabzi and pickle. The taste lies in the way the dough is prepared, where one has to knead it properly and roll it into a round shape.

5.   Sabudana Khichdi

Sabudana (tapioca pearls) are tossed together with potatoes and peanuts to form a healthy khichdi. The sabudana replaces rice in khichdi, giving it a healthier touch. It is also quick and easy to make and is a hassle-free breakfast. Garnished with mint leaves, this tastes delicious.
