Traditionally dressed, they had set up a huge plate filled with different fruits like apples and bananas along with assorted dry fruits and nuts. May Lord Ganesha fill our lives with wisdom, peace and love,” the actress posted a picture while performing a traditional aarti for Ganpati Bappa.

For the bhog, you can spot sumptuous white-coloured modak, along with a small plate of the yellow-coloured ones next to it. You can also see a fruit tray filled with apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, and other seasonal fruits.

Mithila Palkar

Mithila Palkar, known for starring in “Little Things” and Bollywood movies like “Karwaan” and “Chopsticks,” shared a video of making modaks herself for Ganesh Chaturthi. With a detailed video of each step, she writes, “I had not made modak before. Ever! But this year I was home and wanted to do something for my Bappa. So, with my very efficient tai who comes to help me everyday at home, Mumma’s able instructions on video calls and several Youtube tutorials, I attempted my very first modak.”

Mithila Palkar starts the video by making the sweet filling with jaggery and coconut. She then patiently fills the dough with the filling and perfectly shapes the modak. Placing them onto a banana leaf and garnishing each modak with saffron strands, the celebrity steams them to make impeccable-looking modak.
