Black Pepper

Garlic

Garlic is not just an aromatic and flavourful ingredient but a wonder herb when it comes to health. As per nutritionist Batra, garlic contains Allicin that inhibits enzymes involved in lipid synthesis, decreases platelet aggregation, prevents lipid peroxidation of oxidized erythrocytes and LDL, increases antioxidant status, and inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme.

Turmeric

We all that turmeric is loaded with medicinal properties. Nutritionist Lovneet Batra, in her Instagram post, said that turmeric curcumin helps in improving the function of the endothelium, the lining of your blood vessels. Curcumin is a compound that can help reduce inflammation and oxidation which can play a role in heart disease.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is more than just enhancing the flavour. The active components of cinnamon i.e., cinnamaldehyde and cinnamic acid are said to be cardio-protective due to their ability to produce nitric oxide as well as the associated anti-inflammatory properties, wrote nutritionist Lovneet Batra in her post.

Coriander seeds

Coriander seeds, as per nutritionist Lovneet Batra, have a remarkable hypolipidemic action which refers to the ability to lower lipid levels in the bloodstream, particularly cholesterol and triglycerides. Thus, it is advisable to consume coriander seeds for better heart health. 

Ginger

According to nutritionist Lovneet Batra, Ginger has an active ingredient called gingerol that can relax blood vessels, stimulate blood flow, and relieve pain. Ginger is also an anti-inflammatory agent, which means it may be useful in fighting heart disease.
