Monsoon calls for some lovely evening with your friend, from air-fried dishes to baked cakes. You enjoy a good time with them. On one side there are beautiful cabinets, pretty walls and stylish decor making a stunning impression on your guests, on the other hand, there are grimy and dirty appliances that are ruining everything.

During the monsoon season, keeping your kitchen clean becomes even more crucial. The increased humidity can lead to the growth of mould and mildew, making regular cleaning a must. Appliances can easily become breeding grounds for bacteria if not properly maintained, so taking extra care during this time is essential.

Essential Cleaning Tips For Cleaning Kitchen Appliances In Monsoon:

Blenders

These powerful blenders are perfect for creating refreshing smoothies and frozen treats. But cleaning them does not have to be a chore. Simply fill the carafe halfway with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Blend for 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly.

For tougher residues from smoothies, add a handful of ice cubes and blend again. This quick trick is a lifesaver for cleaning blender after smoothies.

Stove

Oil splatters, seasoning spills, and or something else you cook that ends up on the stovetop. But even if splatters sit for a day or two, there is still hope. The key to cleaning your stove top is to be quick. Before the food bits cook onto the surface, be sure to scrub them away. After cooking and the stovetop is cool, give it a good wipe down with an all-purpose cleaner sprayed on a damp cloth.

Soak stovetop stains in the strongest cleaner your cooktop can handle and let sit. Using a spoon or knife, carefully scrape once clean, and wipe the cooktop clean.

Dishwasher

You should clean the dishwasher just as often as your shower or sink. To keep foul odours from lingering and to protect against grime buildup. Fill a dishwasher-safe cup with vinegar. Place the cup on the top rack of the empty dishwasher. Run the dishwasher on the hottest, longest cycle. This will sanitise and loosen food and soap scum. For a heavy-duty dishwasher cleaning, tackle the tops and sides of the door, remove all the accessories and removable parts and give them a good scrubbing. Use a soft toothbrush to clean the spray arm and remove any debris caught in the sprayers. Finally, tackle any hard water deposits by using the vinegar cleaning method above, but replace the vinegar with lemon juice.

Microwave

Soup, sauce, and grease splatters coat the inside of the microwave every week. All that buildup is not pleasant to look at or cook with. The good news is that knowing how to clean a microwave is a quick study and simpler than you may think. Fill a microwave-safe bowl with water and place it in the microwave. Heat, uncovered until the water starts to boil. The caked-on food should now be loosened, so you can easily wipe the surface clean.
