Ingredients:

500 grams of freshwater fish (Rohu or Catla), cut into pieces

2 tomatoes, crushed

1 lemon, juiced

1 elephant apple (ou tenga), sliced (optional, substitute with raw mango if unavailable)

2 green chillies, slit

1 tablespoon mustard oil

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Salt to taste

Water as needed

Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions:

•       Wash the fish pieces thoroughly and marinate them with turmeric powder and salt. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.
