Its effectiveness has been investigated using clinical trials at Ashwagandha at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences and other US testing centres. And they have proven that ashwagandha has anti-anxiety and anti-depressant properties without any toxicity or side effects. In one trial, 30 patients with neurological disease were given a dose of 40 mg of ashwagandha per day for a month. The test showed that anxiety disorder symptom, i.e. panic, was significantly reduced.
