Whether it's fruit juices, smoothies, milkshakes, coconut water, or buttermilk, downing an entire glass of an iced beverage instantly cools your body and mind and gets you ready to face the summer heat. The body experiences dehydration and loses fluids through perspiration in hot conditions. Time and again it is advised to keep the body hydrated, drink plenty of water and other drinks. Smoked chaas, smoked buttermilk, or often known as masala taak is a popular Indian beverage if you wish to stay away from sweetened foods and drinks. It has a creamy texture, tastes great, and is incredibly healthful. When it's hot outside, it helps to lower body heat. It is provided with our meals and is a fantastic appetiser that also helps with digestion. 

Here’s how to make one at home 

Ingredients:

1 cup Curd          

1 tsp Cumin seed         

1 Mild Green chilli  

1 tbsp Cilantro      

8 to 10 Curry leaves 

¼ tsp Black salt  

Salt as per your taste 

½ tsp Refined butter or Ghee 

1 Coal 

2 cup Chilled Water 

Method: 

Combine curd, mint, coriander, cumin, ginger, black salt, and salt in a blender and blend until smooth. Give it another quick mix after adding 2 cups of water. When the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and green chilli paste, sauté for a couple of seconds, and then add to the chaas. Place this chaas in a big bowl. Making sure that the chaas doesn't go inside, gently insert the heated coal in a smaller dish within the larger bowl. Add the clove and curry leaves to the small bowl. Now carefully drizzle oil over the heated coal, then wrap it in aluminium foil. Remove after 5 minutes, then put in glasses to serve. Serve chilled.
