To view the sunrise on the curvature of the Earth is no joke. The first carbon-neutral space capsule will be taking customers 100,000 feet above sea level so that they can witness the picturesque view of the Earth and its surroundings.

A couple of days ago, the official Instagram page of Alchemist, restaurant owned by Chef Rasmus Munk, posted images of the capsule and wrote, “We are thrilled to announce that @joinspacevip will be hosting the first stratospheric dining experience with Michelin-Starred Chef Rasmus Munk of @restaurantalchemist aboard @thespaceperspective Spaceship Neptune, the world’s first carbon neutral space capsule. Explorers will ascend 100,000 ft above sea level where they will dine as they watch the sunrise over the Earth’s curvature. Each passenger will be dressed by French fashion house @ogier.official in made-to-measure outfits.”

Chef Remus also shared a few images on his official Instagram account and wrote, “This is gonna be insane!” The caption further read, “I’m so excited to get started and work with some of the leading scientific institutions and designers for this project.”

According to the New York Post, six explorers will get the chance to witness dining in the space. They will have the meal 99% above the atmosphere of the Earth, and it would take them six hours to reach 100,000 ft above sea level (You can imagine the ascending speed of the capsule). The mission will launch in late 2025 in Florida, US, and the cost for each explorer to undertake this journey will be close to Rs 4 crores ($495,000).

Explorers will not only dine in the space, they will also have access to WiFi. Hence, they will be able to connect with their loved ones on the Earth and livestream their journey. In a media interaction, Founder of SpaceVIP Roman Chiporukha said that the food served in the capsule will be inspired by the last 60 years of space exploration by humans and the impact it had on society - ‘scientifically and philosophically’.
