Rahul Gandhi often posts videos on Instagram and social media handles when he visits popular street food restaurants in Delhi or any other place in India. He is a foodie and nobody, not even him, can deny that fact. After his rally in Ramlila Ground, the Congress politician headed to a nearby restaurant last night (May 19, 2024).
Not only did he sit among common people and eat his favourite dish, but he also interacted with people and shared a few of his favoured places where he liked to dine. The caption of the video reads, “A quick detour after an electrifying rally at the Ramlila Grounds led us to a mouth-watering platter of Chole Bhature - so quintessentially Delhi! That's what I love about my Dilli - there’s always beauty in the chaos.”

The small video shared on Instagram shows Rahul Gandhi visiting a restaurant near Ramlila Ground to indulge in chole bhature. The politician was in the mood to eat an unhealthy but gastronomically satisfying meal. The bowl of chole came topped with aloo tikki, which is among politician’s favourite delights.
He shared that when he was in school, he used to enjoy aloo tikki quite often, which is why he has a fondness for the popular Indian street food as an adult. According to the politician, one can find the best aloo tikki in Chandni Chowk.
Rahul Gandhi also mentioned that he loves Delhi because of its chaos, history, monuments, culture, tourism, and restaurants. Among his favourite places to dine in the capital includes Moti Mahal, a restaurant chain founded in Delhi after the partition of India in 1947. One can relish their favourite North Indian, Mughlai, and Indo-Chinese Dishes here.

Since the video was shared in collaboration with INC India and Bharat Jodo, the comment section became a polling booth with Instagram users sharing their views. People were asking to vote for Congress because they were happy to see the politician sitting among them, speaking to them without inhibitions, and enjoying one of the most popular Indian dishes.
One person commented, “He knows how to talk when and where gracefully!!” Many users were impressed by his joke about studying political science. Two young women came and shared that they were political science students. Rahul Gandhi said that he has also studied political science, but what they teach in the course has nothing to do with (actual) politics.
