Cooling allows the bread's internal moisture to redistribute, resulting in a softer crumb and better texture. Additionally, slicing into hot bread can release steam, making it lose moisture faster and become dry. Hence, let the bread rest for at least an hour before slicing into it to fully enjoy its texture and flavour.
