1. Fried Idli
Idli is a very healthy South Indian dish which is made from raw rice and some daal. It is very soft and can be made within a few minutes. All you have to do is prepare the batter for Idli and steam it in the steamer until it gets properly cooked. Now a lot of people find your regular rava Idli very bland. To make it more flavourful, you can prepare air fried Idli. For air fried Idli, just brush the idli with some oil and air fry at 180 C for 10 minutes then break them into pieces. In a pan toss vegetables like capsicum, onions, tomatoes, and sweetcorn with a little oil and add them to a bowl with the pieces of Idli. Put the spices of your choice and some lemon juice on the top. This recipe is enjoyed by both children and adults.
2. Methi Paratha
Methi Paratha is a very popular kind of Paratha that is consumed especially during winter. It gives the needed want to your body and protects you from the harsh cold. In the revamped version of methi Paratha, you can add a stuffing of some corn and cheese mixed with Italian herbs. The recipe combines the goodness of methi and the taste of cheese and corn. You can cook the Paratha in a pan with a spoonful of ghee. Your kids are going to love the recipe and The lunchbox will come back home fully finished.
3. Masala Bhindi Wrap
Bhindi is one vegetable that most children like. To make it more interesting, you can make a Bhindi rap by preparing Bindi in a peppy style by adding a lot of chaat masala to it. You can make the wrap with the help of wheat flour and add some leftover cooked daal to it. This will give the wrap a flavour of its own. Now add the cooked Bhindi to the wrap and packet with some curd as a dip. To make the curd more flavourful add some ginger garlic paste if your kids enjoy it. Or you can simply just add some salt and chilli to it.
5. Curd Rice
Curd Rice is a very famous recipe that is also enjoyed by a lot of celebrities. It is very simple yet so flavourful. To make it healthy, you can add a lot of vegetables like cucumber, carrots and other vegetables of your choice to eat. All you have to do is take a bowl of boiled rice and mash it until it gets smooth. Then add curd, sautéed vegetables and some salt to it. Try to mix it well. Now take a pan and put some oil in it. Add mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and other spices of your choice. Let the oil heat for some time and then pour the heated oil on top of your rice mixture. your curd rice will be ready in no time. This is a very healthy South Indian-inspired dish that you can almost have every day.

6. Sujji Ka Chelea
Suji ka cheela or Uttapam is another South Indian dish that you can pack in your kid’s lunchbox. This dish is packed with a lot of nutrition as it doesn't have any unnecessary fats or sugar. Also, it's loaded with a lot of vegetables. To make this chilla take some Suji and mix it with water to form a thick batter. Now add some salt, chilli and black pepper. Put the prepared batter in a hot pan and on top of it put the vegetables of your choice. To make it more filling, you can prepare a stuffing of cottage cheese. This is the desi version of pizza that you can have on a daily basis and not worry about your health.
