Fruit Popsicles

Summer is on its way, and the most favourite thing for literally anybody to eat would be a popsicle. But instead of buying popsicles from a roadside vendor, which might contain artificial colours and preservatives, you can make fruit popsicles at home.

All you need to do is pick seasonal fruits like watermelon, mango, orange, etc., and blend them. To even out the consistency, you can add freshly squeezed juice. Then, pour it into moulds, add a stick, and freeze till they are set. After a few hours, take the popsicles out and enjoy the icy, cool desserts with your kids.

Cake Pops

Cake pops are an interesting twist to standard cakes or brownies, and the bonus is – the kids love them.

You can easily make cake pops by crumbling any brownie or cake and adding some heavy cream to it. Make round balls out of them and freeze them till they are set. Then comes the most interesting part. You can have a gala time with your kids while decorating cake pops in their favourite theme, like Barbies, Avengers, Looney Tunes, and literally anything that floats their boat.

Parfaits

If you’re keeping this weekend health-friendly and want your kids to have some guilt-free desserts, there’s nothing better than parfaits.

You can make parfaits by layering a big scoop of yoghurt at the bottom of a tall glass and adding their favourite fruits on top, like mangoes, pineapple, strawberries, etc. For the next layer, you can add some flavoured yoghurt or whipped cream. And top the layer with their favourite biscuits, sprinkles or chocolate chips.

Ice Cream Or Kulfi

Ice creams and kulfis are everyone's favourite, especially when you’re bidding goodbye to winter. Now, even though you can get a tub of your kid’s favourite ice cream from a store, imagine the fun of making it with your child. It’s really simple; all you need to do is blend churned milk, sugar, natural flavours or chocolate sauce, and vanilla essence. Add some crushed ice and churn it in an ice cream maker. Now, you can freeze it in a tub or add sticks for a kulfi, and after waiting for some hours, you’ll be able to enjoy homemade ice cream.

No-bake Cookies

Do you want to make your child great cookies but also don’t want to make it a messy and elaborate process? Don’t worry; with this no-bake cookie option, you’re going to make your kid smile.

Simply take a large bowl and mix oats, sugar, vanilla biscuits, and cocoa powder. Now, mix the wet ingredients in a separate container, such as peanut butter, vanilla essence, and some butter. Carefully add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mix, and knead a dough. Scoop out balls, refrigerate, and your no-bake cookies are ready.

Cupcakes

Kids love the mini-sized cakes that can be decorated just the way they like. To make this weekend memorable, trust the process and start making cupcakes. You can make the batter similar to any base cake, such as vanilla, chocolate, or dates. Pour the batter into moulds and whip up the cream. Now, let your kids have fun while decorating the cupcakes with colourful cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and whatnot.
