Five Indian bars across major cities like Mumbai and Delhi have made it to Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 Extended 51-100 list, highlighting the fact that India is indeed making quite a splash in the globally reputed rankings guide. While the Top 50 list will be announced based on the votes by Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy on July 18, the current rankings showcase the entries in the extended list. Here’s a closer look at the Indian bars that made it to the list.

Mumbai’s Americano came in at No. 57, and it appears this is the first time this bar has made it to the Asia’s Best Bars list. New Delhi’s Home ranked at No.58, which is quite a drop from its ranking of No.30 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022 list. New Delhi’s Hoots’, which came in at No.26 last year, has ranked at No.60 this year. Goa’s Hideway has ranked 66, and this also appears to be a new entry. New Delhi’s PCO came in at No.94, while the bar was ranked No.54 last year.

In 2022, New Delhi’s Sidecar had ranked at No.14, Mumbai’s The Living Room by Masque at No.73 and Mumbai’s The Bombay Canteen had ranked at No.76. It would be interesting to see on July 18 if these three Indian bars have improved or stuck to their rankings—and if new Indian entries have also made it to the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 list. So, all eyes are now on the announcement on July 18.

Meanwhile, the Indian bars that have indeed ranked in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2023 Extended list are celebrating their much-deserved win. “It's an immense honour to be featured on the list once again. These little wins make all our hard work and perseverance over the past decade at PCO, all worth it,” says Rakshay Dhariwal, Founder & MD of Pass Code Hospitality.

“This is an exciting news and showcase our immense pride in HOME’s recent recognition,” announced Santanu Chanda, Beverage Head at Home. “This achievement is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation, attention to detail, and the extraordinary efforts of our dedicated team. The recognition of being listed in Asia's 50 Best Bars is not only a tremendous honor for us but also a reflection of the loyalty and support we have received from our patrons.”
