- It is advisable that one must always clean the non-stick tawas in lukewarm water. One should avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners which may damage the surface. To ensure that the non-stick tawas last longer, one must use a non-stick scrub sponge.
- To get rid of rusty, hard and sticky stains from the non-stick tawa, take 1½ cup chlorine bleach with water and 2 tbsp baking powder. Add the mixture to the tawa and let it boil for 10 minutes. Rinse using lukewarm water and after drying, rub a little oil on the surface.
- In order to get rid of the burned meals from the tawa, it is advisable to first wet the burned meal stains. Damp it with oil and leave for 8 to 10 minutes. One can also use baking soda paste on the burned stain and rinse after 10 minutes.
- In order to prevent scratches, one must use only silicone, plastic, wooden or non-stick utensils on the tawa. It is also advisable not to clean the tawa in the dishwasher. Hand washing is the best option.
