And here we are again, right after the festive season. Too scared to go near the weighing machine, and a little too lazy to do anything about it. It’s okay, you are allowed to give yourself some time. There could be plenty of reasons why you cannot hit the gym or actively participate in a rigorous physical activity/exercise regimen, but in that case, you can at least start with making some essential tweaks to your diet, right? Belly fat is stubborn, but with right strategy including both diet and exercise, you could see a significant change. With winter upon us, we have a variety of leafy greens to eat and experiment with. You can maybe start by blending them in wholesome juices for your low-cal snacking. These greens are full of fibre, vitamins and antioxidants that are known to do wonders for weight management and detox. Here are a few ideas.

Spinach And Apple

Spinach and apple complement each other like cheese and crackers, and this is possibly the easiest green juice recipe that you can try. In a blender, blend one small cup of spinach, one cup of diced, deseeded apples, 1 cinnamon stick, and one carrot and you are good to go.

Celery And Spinach

In one of her interviews, actress Ananya Panday said that she starts her day with celery juice and indeed the morning drink has many health benefits, from detoxing, weight loss, to nourished skin. Just blend together five-six spinach leaves, a sweet lime, two celery stalks and drink up.

Cabbage And Mint

This simple, fuss-free juice is packed with flavours. Just combine one cabbage, handful of mint leaves, honey and lemon together and blend till smooth. No need to strain, just gulp it all at a go, preferably first thing in the morning for a natural cleanse.

Kale And Pineapple

Kale has an unfair, infamous rep of being this bitter green. But trust us, once you develop a liking for it, there’s no looking back. In a blender, blend five kale leaves, 2 cups of pineapple and 1 cucumber and drink up. Make sure you drink it while it is still fresh to enjoy all the nutritious goodness.

Coriander and Apple

Blend one head of romaine lettuce, a cup of spinach, 2 kale leaves, 10-12 sprigs of coriander, 1 apple and half a lime together for this zesty green juice that will refresh you in no time. Low cal, low carb and high on flavour.
