* Yoghurt And Nuts

Both yoghurt and nuts are almost an everyday part of the diet of Indians. Yoghurt is considered an excellent source of protein and having a bowl of yoghurt with every meal is recommended by most dieticians. On the other hand, nuts are considered a great source of fibre as well as healthy fats. The combination of these two ingredients makes a perfect superfood. The fibre and fat present in nuts along with the high amount of protein in yoghurt makes it the perfect snack. One gets the energy to perform a particular task and not get hungry for a long time. * Lemon And Poha

A lot of Indian people have a bowl of poha as their breakfast. Eating poha as breakfast is quite healthy as it is wholesome and nutritious. Poha also consists of a lot of fresh vegetables which gives the body a lot of antioxidants and vitamins. Sprinkling some lemon juice on top of poha is not at all a new concept. * Dal And Chawal

Dal chawal is the comfort meal for so many people. One can go to several elaborate restaurants and enjoy some decadent meals, but there is nothing as soothing as a plate of Dal Chawal. Dal, which is a lentil curry, is a mixture of pulses that are power-packed with protein and healthy fats. Along with pulses, Dal also consists of a lot of fresh vegetables that have multiple nutrients and vitamins. Rice is also a great source of sulphur that contains amino acids as well as carbohydrates that give energy to the body. The combination of these two is very healthy. But one must remember that the high quantity of both fats and carbohydrates in the combination might lead to weight gain. So eating the food in moderation is the key.

* Pepper And Turmeric 

The importance of turmeric in ancient Indian medicine is pretty much well-known to everyone. Even to this date, turmeric is used in almost all Indian households for treating some common problems like colds and inflammation. Turmeric has a lot of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. The combination of turmeric and pepper is the perfect combination as these two ingredients complement each other a lot. Turmeric has an active compound called curcumin which is responsible for fighting against harmful diseases in the body. As per the National Institutes of Health, the absorption of curcumin requires the presence of another compound called piperine. The primary compound present in black pepper is piperine. This is why these two ingredients must be consumed together in the form of detoxifying drinks for maximum benefits.

Green tea is credited to fasting the metabolic rate of the body and help with digestion. It is often considered a boon for people who want to shed some extra kilos. Green tea has a lot of beneficial antioxidants that make it an excellent detoxifying drink. As everyone already knows, lemon juice is a powerhouse of vitamin C. Vitamin C, which is itself a very powerful antioxidant, helps in the better absorption of the antioxidants present in green tea.
